Natalya says she and the Bella Twins have never stopped pushing WWE to bring Total Divas back, and that Nick Khan is at least willing to listen.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, she was clear that the campaign has been running for years and has not slowed.
“The Bella Twins and myself have never ever stopped fighting for Total Divas to come back. We want it back more than anything, and we are not taking our foot off the gas on it, so to speak.”
Her argument is that the show’s influence is now visible on the roster itself.
“So many women superstars in WWE that are coming in, like Blake Monroe, Izzi Dame, Bianca Belair, Lash Legend, they’re all saying we want to get into WWE because we love that show.”
“So, you see so many women inspired by Total Divas and what we did on that show. I was lucky enough and fortunate enough to be on that show for all nine seasons. I was the only cast member who was never not on the show, because I was full of a lot of drama too. It’s a show that is extremely special to me, and like I said, The Bellas and I are not taking our foot off the gas as we want the show to happen.”
She stopped well short of saying it is happening. Asked about the company’s position, Natalya described Khan as receptive rather than committed.
“I feel that powers that be, especially, you know, Nick Khan, because he’s so supportive of us and he’s so collaborative with us. He listens to us. It’s great having a boss that’s just like, okay, you guys wanna do something? How is it gonna be good? What are we gonna do?”
“Again, I’m not saying we’re there yet, but Nick is somebody, like I said, we got ideas, he’s willing to listen. We’re waiting for the opportunity. We keep putting it out into the universe.”
Total Divas ran on E! for nine seasons from 2013 to December 2019, following Natalya, Nikki and Brie Bella, Naomi, Eva Marie, Cameron and JoJo through their working and home lives. The first episode drew more than 1.3 million live viewers with another 600,000 on the replay, and it is widely credited with drawing an audience to WWE that had not previously watched wrestling. Natalya says she is the only cast member to appear in all nine seasons.
It is not the first time she has raised it. She told the same podcast in early May that she gets asked about Total Divas more than anything else, that she would want to spearhead a reboot and work behind the scenes on it as well as appear, and that audiences are consuming behind-the-scenes content more than ever. The Bellas made similar comments to the show on May 18, saying they have been trying to get it back on air and that the timing would be right. Nikki Bella said that if WWE called, they would return immediately, and that she has pushed for Total Bellas as well.
The case for it has grown since the series ended. WWE moved its programming to Netflix at the start of 2025, putting it in front of a substantially larger audience, and the company’s behind-the-scenes documentary series Unreal has become one of the more talked about things it produces, drawing comment this month from Kevin Nash, AJ Styles, JBL and Chelsea Green, who credited a clip from its first season with turning the crowd behind her. Nikki Bella has drawn a line between the two formats, describing Total Divas as a docu-soap and Unreal as documentary-based, and arguing there is room for both.
The current roster is also full of alumni. Alongside Natalya and the Bellas, Paige, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax all appeared on the original run. Paige returned at WrestleMania 42 and holds the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Brie Bella.
She has spent the past year reinventing herself as the harder-edged Nattie Neidhart character, working it on Game Changer Wrestling through most of 2025 before bringing it to WWE this year, and moving away from the pink Hart family gear. She has also spoken about wanting to launch a Bloodsport-inspired promotion of her own after Josh Barnett put his on hiatus, saying she sees no reason she could not be the first female promoter in WWE history to run something comparable.
