Ember Moon made an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of WWE Backstage. In a segment on the show, Moon alongside WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Mark Henry talked about matches that they’d like to do over again.
Moon stated that she’s been in WWE for 5 years and when looking back on her career, she thinks she should have been the one to defeat Asuka’s streak. She also would like to go back and redo her match with Bayley at SummerSlam because she feels like she could’ve done more.
This topic also brought up her current injury, which is a torn Achilles.
“Realizing that I may have a career-ending injury. I’m coming back from the hardest injury. I might not have a chance to redeem myself of all the things I wanted to do and I wanted to do in my future. It’s so hard to look back and regret when I try to look forward.”
This is when Moon became emotional while thinking about the chance of not being able to make an in-ring return. She stated that she keeps looking forward because this is what she loves and is her passion. She stated that this is the only thing that she’s ever wanted for herself. Moon noted that she wants the opportunity to not look back, but rather to look forward and be better than ever before.
“It’s so hard to look back…I’m trying to get on y’alls level. I’m going to prove to you guys that I’m worth redeeming those mistakes and those regrets. It’s just going to be awhile before I do so.”
Last year, Moon ruptured her Achilles and tore it off the bone when she was chasing Carmella during a segment involving the WWE 24/7 Title.
