WWE star says she was hoping AJ Lee would be part of Evolution PPV

WWE has developed its Evolution pay-per-view card over the past several weeks. The show will go down from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on October 28th. It will be WWE’s first-ever all-female PPV of all time. Some of the biggest female names of WWE’s past and present will compete on the card.

However, fans have noticed that there’s one key name missing from the group. That being former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee. Lee is one of the greatest female professional wrestlers the WWE has ever seen. She worked with WWE from 2009 to 2015. A year after her husband’s (CM Punk) falling out with the company, Lee decided to retire and walk away from wrestling.

As we noted, several WWE stars attended the ACE Comic Con in Chicago, Illinois yesterday (Fri. October 12, 2018). This included The Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie. Nikki was asked by a fan if she had any aspirations to wrestle Lee again in the future. Nikki revealed that she wanted Lee to be a part of Evolution later this month, and would “love” to wrestle her again:

“I was hoping she’d be part of WWE Evolution,” Bella said. “[AJ Lee] was a huge part of the women’s division. I’d love to wrestle her again. We had good chemistry. I felt that [our feud with her and Paige] really helped with the evolution. It would be so fun.”
