WWE star suffers injury on Monday Night Raw

Another star has been put on the sidelines due to injury.

It was noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Rezar of The Authors of Pain is currently on the shelf with a torn right biceps.

The belief is that he suffered the injury on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Washington, D.C. at the Capital One Arena on the USA Network when he worked an eight-man match that saw AOP, Seth Rollins and Murphy defeated The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders.

The injury reportedly happened when he took a crossbody from Montez Ford.

As of this writing, there’s no timetable for Rezar’s return. He’s expected to be off TV for some time as a result. There’s speculation that he could avoid having surgery to repair the tear, but he will still be out for a few months should that happen.

Typically, this type of injury will put talent on the sidelines for 6-8 months. There’s also the unknown of whether Akam will remain on television as part of the ongoing storyline.

This comes after the AOP was put on hiatus together back in January 2019 when Akam needed knee surgery.
