WWE Star Teases Making In-Ring Return Ahead Of Contract Expiring

Unless a deal is reached, WWE is slated to lose two talents to free agency and likely AEW.

As previously reported, the expectation is that Bobby Lashley and MVP are AEW-bound to reform The Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin. MVP’s deal is up in mid-August, and there haven’t been any talks of a new deal. There had been some talk in WWE about potentially using him as a Producer or announcer, but that never materialized.

WWE made Lashley an offer, but it wasn’t one that immediately made him “jump to sign.”. It’s still unclear exactly when Lashley’s deal will be up, although it’s likely to be in the next month.

MVP was last seen on WWE television as the manager of Omos at house shows. Omos is rarely used on television, while MVP hasn’t wrestled since 2022.

As seen below, MVP took to Instagram to share a picture of his wrestling boots with the caption, “Dusted these off…” In the comments on the post, a user wrote, “Well, they don’t look hung up to me.” MVP responded, “Because they are NOT!!!”
