Unfortunately, Jinder Mahal is out of action once again.
The former WWE Champion took to his official Instagram account on Friday to announce that he underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center to fix issues with his knee.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how long he will be out of action or the severity of the knee issues that needed to be fixed.
He wrote the following in the caption above this photo:
“Unfortunately I had to go under the knife again to fix some knee issues. The journey has hit a speed bump, but I will be back stronger than ever.”
Mahal had just returned to in-ring action back on the April 27th episode of Raw when he beat Akira Tozawa in a singles match. He hasn’t wrestled since May 22nd.
Before this latest setback, he had been out of in-ring competition since June of last year. At the time, he suffered a knee injury that forced him to undergo surgery and kept him on the sidelines for several months.
We wish Mahal a speedy recovery.
