Earlier this week, WWE had announced an injury storyline involving MVP after he received an RKO by Randy Orton during his match against then-WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. WWE noted MVP suffered a “broken rib and would be out indefinitely.”
Dave Meltzer reported in today’s daily update on F4Wonline.com that “MVP had knee surgery this week so he’ll be out of action for a while.”
MVP suffered a knee injury while working a six-man tag team match with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander against Lucha House Party and Matt Riddle on an episode of WWE Raw back in February.
He had been using a cane to get around on WWE television, but later worked several matches since the time of the injury.
Back in April, MVP did state in an interview that he was holding out on getting surgery and trying different treatments.
