WWE star wants a move to NXT

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander has made it publicly known that he wants to go to NXT.

Alexander didn’t have a run in NXT but rather worked the Cruiserweight Classic then moved to the 205 Live brand. He was later moved to Raw. In late 2019, it was reported that Paul Heyman was high on Alexander and he received a brief push.

The highlight of that push saw Alexander feud with AJ Styles over the United States Title. Back in September, there was a report from Dave Meltzer that McMahon wanted to bury Alexander by having him suffer a defeat to Styles in quick fashion at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event. It was later reported that Vince McMahon had given up on him.

Since then, WWE hasn’t done much with Alexander. With it being a new year, Alexander has expressed his interest in going to WWE. In fact, he wants to form a tag team.

Alexander made his feelings known when he wrote the following on his official Twitter account:

“-Find a Tag partner

-Ship over to @WWENXT

-Wrestle all the Tag Teams

I don’t ask for much but those are simple requests #TagTeamWrestling”

After seeing this tweet, Mustafa Ali teased wanting to be Alexander’s tag-team partner:
