Mustafa Ali has been working injured since December of 2020.
It was recently reported that Ali initially tore his PCL in his match against Ricochet on the December 28th edition of Raw, which saw him go over with a submission finish.
This includes the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and a few matches with Matt Riddle in their feud for the United States Title. The day after the Royal Rumble, Wrestling Inc reported Ali underwent an MRI and was told that the injury would require surgery and rehab. Instead of getting surgery to fix the injury, he elected to work through it.
Ali has been open about this injury in various interviews. Ali decided to take to Twitter to address any confusion out there by noting that he won’t be getting surgery to fix it.
He wrote, “To clear some confusion, I am not getting surgery in the foreseeable future. I’ll be okay. Thanks.”
