WWE Stars Push For International Premium Live Event

WWE has taken its Premium Live Events internationally more than ever in 2024, with several events taking place outside of the United States. That trend will continue throughout the rest of the year and into 2025.

WWE just held Money in the Bank in Canada and will host Bash in Berlin at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, in August before returning to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 2. WWE does this because of the high site fees countries will pay to host PLEs. WWE does the same in the US, with cities bidding on-site fees, which brings a significant local economic boost. It should be noted that they have a separate deal with Saudi Arabia for much more money as part of two-PLEs each year for a ten-year deal they have in place.

WWE ran two house shows this past weekend in Mexico, headlined by Cody Rhodes retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Title over Santo Escobar. As seen below, after Sunday’s show, both stars pushed the company to hold a PLE in the Mexico.

Rhodes stated that, just like in past countries, it all starts with the fans demanding it and letting Triple H know about it.
