The reactions have begun pouring in on social media after the news that WWE has finally agreed to release The Revival.
As previously noted, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson requested their release several times over the last year but it was denied. Bryan Alvarez reported that they made another request in January but it was denied.
Dawson’s contract was set to expire this month and Wilder, due to injuries, had time added to his contract and was set to be released in June but the decision was made to let them go today. There is no word on if there is a 90-day non-compete for Wilder’s contract since this is technically an early release for him and not a case of his contract expiring.
It is widely believed that they will end up in All Elite Wrestling and possibly wrestle some independent shows.
