For the past several months, rumors have been flying around about WWE finally introducing Women’s Tag Team Titles to the company. After a long wait, WWE has finally made the confirmation. On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon confirmed that Women’s Tag Team Titles would be coming to WWE in 2019. This was a huge moment for the Women’s Revolution, which has been making tremendous strides in the past several years.
Fronted by the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and so many more, WWE has held several first-ever women’s events in WWE. Those include Hell In A Cell, Elimination Chamber, Tables Ladders and Chairs, Last Woman Standing, and Money In The Bank matches. Earlier this year, WWE also held its first-ever all-female pay-per-view entitled, Evolution. WWE also made huge progress by signing a star the caliber of Ronda Rousey to a contract in January.
