We haven’t seen much of Sheamus on WWE television since the Superstar Shake-Up but don’t count on him retiring anytime soon…at least that is what some of his close friends are saying.
Rusev flat out denied the rumors: “Retirement? He’s in the best shape of his life!” He added, “He’s almost down to 205 pounds [the weight limit for WWE’s Cruiserweight Division]. He’s about 230 or whatever.”
Rusev said he sees Sheamus almost every day because they live about eight houses away from each other and their dogs play with each other.
Rusev added, “He’s fine, he’s nowhere near the end of his career, he may be forty years-old but who cares?”
Lana added that she recently did her first workout for Sheamus’ ‘Celtic Warrior Workouts’ YouTube channel.
Cesaro said he doesn’t know when Sheamus will return to the ring but noted that he’s been building a home guy. He added, “You should check his YouTube channel for updates because he’ll let everyone know once he himself knows what’s up.”
Sheamus has been out of action since the April 9th episode of SmackDown Live where he was concussed. There’s no word from WWE on when he might return to action.
