WWE SummerSlam Results: Becky Lynch Retains Women’s Intercontinental Title After Interference From Bayley

Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria in a no DQ and no count out match took place at the WWE SummerSlam – night 2 Premium Live Event from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

They brawled at ringside with kendo sticks being used. Lyra introduced a table and put it up at ringside. Lynch used a chain to choke Lyra. Lynch used a kendo stick while hitting a leg sweep. Lynch zip-tied Lyra’s hands before hitting her with a wrench. Lyra with a belly-to-belly suplex. Lyra with a drop kick before going to the top rope and then a moonsault for 2. Lyra used the fire extinguisher to spray into Lynch’s face then tried to use it to break the zip ties before going under the ring and she was free. Lyra with a suplex to Lynch on the floor. Lynch avoided a splash and hit a manhandle slam through a stack of chairs. Lyra was put into a chair and driven into the announce table then into the ring post. Bayley came out to stop Lynch from using a crowbar and Becky tried to convince Bayley of attacking Lyra, but she couldn’t. Bayley attacked Lynch at ringside. Lyra with a leg drop to Lynch through a table. Lyra avoided the man handle slam and Bayley accidentally punched Lyra leading to Lynch hitting her finisher for the win. Now, Lyra can’t challenge for the Women’s IC Title as long as Lynch is champion. 

Winner: Lynch
