WWE SummerSlam Results: CM Punk Falls Short To Drew McIntyre

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee took place at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH on Saturday night.

They started brawling to start this one off. Punk with a clothesline off the apron. They brawled on the floor with Seth not counting. Drew swung Punk into the announce table and tossed him under the ring with a slingshot. Drew grabbed a chair and Seth took it away. He almost hit Punk by accident, but didn’t and the chair was removed. Drew put the Punk’s bracelet on and Punk caught him with a kick. Punk with a series of knee strikes in the corner. Punk went to the top rope and hit an elbow drop before blowing a kiss to Seth. Punk went for the anaconda device and got it, but took off the bracelet instead and let it go. Drew with the claymore kick for 2. Drew ate the ring post and Punk went for the GTS, but noticed Seth had his bracelet on. Seth said he was just trying to pick it up. Drew knocked Punk into Seth. Punk avoided the future shock and hit the GTS with a delayed count by Seth. Punk and Seth started to argue, leading to Punk going for the GTS and hitting it. Punk took his bracelet back and Drew kicked him in the nuts then hit the claymore kick. Seth counted the three. Drew took back the bracelet.

Winner: Drew McIntyre
