WWE Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair in a triple threat match took place at the WWE SummerSlam premium live event from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
Asuka caught Belair with a knee strike to the face before Flair broke up the pin attempt. Asuka with a german suplex to Flair in front of a quiet crowd. Flair with a crossbody off the top rope to both of her opponents. Flair with double natural selection. Belair went for a standing moonsault, but Flair put up the knees. Asuka with the Asuka Lock to Flair, but Belair broke it up with a moonsault. Flair sent them to the floor and went to the top rope where she hit the moonsault to Belair. Asuka hit Flair with a head kick then botched a DDT. Asuka put Flair in a triangle choke, but Flair got out of it with the help from Belair. Belair with a powerbomb to Flair. Flair with a moonsault to both of them for a near fall. Flair tossed Belair to the floor and she landed hard on the steel steps. Referees and the medics checked on Belair at ringside. Belair was helped to the back. Flair with a spear for two. Flair with the figure eight leg lock as Belair dragged herself back into the ring while selling the knee injury. Belair broke up the submission with a 450 splash for 2. Asuka misted Flair and Belair rolled up Asuka for the win.
Winner: Bianca Belair
Post-match, Bayley attacked Asuka and Flair. IYO SKY attacked Belair with the MITB briefcase and cashed it. SKY hit her moonsault finisher to win the title.
