Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY took place at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
It was even in the early going. Sky caught her with a drop kick that sent Liv to the floor and popped the crowd. Sky was dragged off the apron and then the barricade. Liv tossed her into the barricade and back in the ring. Liv put the boots to her in the corner and the three suplexes as the beat down continues. Sky made a comeback with a series of strikes then a missile drop kick off the top rope then the bullet train attack in the corner. Sky with a sunset flip powerbomb to the floor from the ring. Roxanne Perez came out to distract the referee while Raquel Rodriguez shoved sky off the top rope and Morgan covered her for 2. Sky tossed Liv onto Raquel, who caught her. Sky then hit an outside dive to Raquel and Perez. Morgan avoided it. Morgan drove Sky face first into the mat. Sky with a spanish fly off the top rope for 2. Sky with a face buster then a back breaker for 2. Sky missed the bullet train and Morgan went for her finisher, but Sky caught her and hit a face plant. Sky with Liv’s finisher for 2. There was some near falls for Morgan. Sky with a bullet train to Liv into the ring post. Morgan with her finisher, Code Breaker and then another Oblivion for the win.
