WWE Survivor Series results: Asuka vs. Sasha Banks
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka faced WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
In the opening minute of the match, Banks tried to get Asuka to tap to an armbar and then the Banks Statement. She also hit the Back Stabber in the first 2 minutes of the match but Asuka kicked out of the pin attempt.
Late in the match, Banks tried to hit a Meteora from the barricade onto Asuka on the floor but Asuka turned into a Code Breaker. As they got back into the ring, both women got 2 close near falls.
Asuka hit another Codebreaker later in the match but this time it was while Banks was draping on the second rope in the ring. There were several near fall sequences, similar to Steamboat/Savage III. Banks won the match with a roll up. Excellent match.
They planted the seeds for a rematch because Graves said that Banks won but it wasn’t as definitive as she wanted.
