As announced during WWE Crown Jewel, although the brands are split up again, there are still plans to have Raw and SmackDown cross over at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. The ad also included NXT so this year’s show will be tri-branded for the first time.
Triple H has said in interviews that he now sees NXT as it’s own brand instead of purely a developmental brand. Now with NXT airing on the USA Network every week, it makes more sense to present that show as it’s own brand on the level as Raw and SmackDown.
PWInsider is reporting that there’s been talk about doing a WarGames match on the Survivor Series per-view. On this week’s episode of NXT on USA, William Regal announced that there would be an all-women’s WarGames match at TakeOver on the night before Survivor Series. At the end of the show, it was hinted at (via Tomasso Ciampa) that there would also be a men’s WarGames match but nothing was officially announced.
