AOP (Akam and Rezar) haven’t been seen at WWE live events since the show in Ft. Myers Florida on January 6th. It seemed like they were the latest casualty of the crowded roster but it turns out that an injury is the reason why we haven’t seen them on TV in a while.
On Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that a leg injury to Akam will keep him and Rezar on the shelf for a couple of months.
The loss of AOP is just another blow to a tag team division that needs a lot of help. The story on the tag team division will be something interesting to follow because WWE wants to keep people happy so they don’t end up leaving when their contracts expire. It’s no secret that The Revival aren’t happy and if things don’t get better then, perhaps, they will decide to leave next year when their contract expires.
