Everyone knows that Dean Ambrose intends to leave the company at the end of April and The Usos have yet to sign new deals. But the big story backstage at SmackDown Live this week is about the future of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
As reported by PWInsider and independently confirmed by us here at WrestlingNews.co, Gallows and Anderson were asked to sign new WWE deals and they declined.
The word going around in the company is that they were offered multi-million dollar deals to stay with the company but, because of the way they’ve been handled by creative since they joined the company in 2016, they made the decision to move on to greener pastures.
WWE has time to convince them to stay because their deals are not up until this September but they are 100 percent set on leaving.
They have several places to go. They have friends in several companies including New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. AEW is expected to start their weekly live TV show on a major network in the fall and they will be heavily focusing on tag teams so it would seem like a no-brainer to sign with them.
Another name that has a contract expiring soon is AJ Styles. He has not yet signed a new deal but people close to him expect that he will stay with WWE. Click here for more on Styles’ status with WWE.
