WWE talent files trademark for Adam Pearce nickname

WWE producer/on-air authority figure Adam Pearce has filed a trademark for another nickname.

On November 8th, Pearce locked down the rights to the terms, “Scrap Daddy” with it being listed for entertainment purposes. He used this as his nickname throughout his in-ring career. Here is the description:

“Mark For: SCRAP DADDY™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, providing professional wrestling and sports exhibitions, shows, and performances by professional manager, wrestler, referee, promoter, producer, live event director, coach, on-screen-official, commissioner, and entertainer rendered live and through all forms of broadcast media, including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online services; Providing wrestling and sporting interviews, news reports, comments, writings, entertainment, and information rendered live and through all forms of media, including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online services.”

Last month, he filed for the term “Scrap Iron,” another nickname of his. When he was competing, he wrestled for promotions including ROH, NWA, and PWG from 1996-2014. He was a top star for the NWA as he held the World Title for the promotion five times.

He made the transition from a wrestler to a trainer when he went to WWE NXT at the Performance Center. He’s now an agent in addition to his on-screen duties.
