The COVID-19 Omicron variant has caused positive cases to increase at a dramatic rate and WWE is dealing with an outbreak that impacted Sunday’s house shows as well as Monday’s episode of Raw.
Several top WWE stars are sidelined from shows this week because they’ve either tested positive for the virus or been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
Fightful Select reported today that Performance Center talent was informed this past weekend that they're no longer requiring the twice-weekly COVID testing that had been mandatory. Also, main roster talent was informed via email that weekly testing isn't required. It’s unclear whether there was a vaccination qualifier added to that ruling.
It was added that the news of testing no longer being required didn’t sit well with several in WWE considering how short-handed the company is right now.
