Paul “Triple H” Levesque is doing well after having a medical issue.
WWE announced back on September 8th that the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development underwent successful heart surgery the week before at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.
The statement noted the operation was needed after Triple H suffered a cardiac event. This was caused by a genetic heart issue. At the time, WWE stated Triple H was expected to make a full recovery.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that everything remains quiet regarding Triple H, but he was told that Triple H is in good enough shape that he is taking calls.
However, talent is not allowed to talk with Triple H about business-related topics. Meltzer wrote, “talent was told that they can call him and wish him well but that they are not to talk any WWE business with him.”
This is likely due to the company trying to avoid any stress that type of discussion may bring on Triple H while he recovers. Shawn Michaels was reportedly in charge of running NXT 2.0 backstage this past Tuesday night. It’s still unclear when Triple H will be back at shows.
