WWE teases Heath Slater could officiate his first match on Monday’s Raw

Next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw will be the go-home before the Tables Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view. On last week’s episode of Raw, Heath Slater defeated Rhyno in a “Loser Gets Fired” match to keep his job with WWE. As a result, Rhyno was fired in the storyline. However, Slater was later informed by acting General Manager Baron Corbin that his services as an in-ring talent would no longer be required.

Instead, Slater will begin a new career path as a WWE referee. WWE.com now teases that fans may see Slater officiate his first match in the striped shirt on Monday’s Raw:

Slater officially begins new career path

“Thanks to a cruel stipulation ordered by Raw “General Manager-Elect” Baron Corbin, Heath Slater defeated Rhyno to keep his job on the red brand, leading to the firing of his longtime friend. As Rhyno departed Raw for the last time, Slater was approached by Corbin, who informed the saddened Superstar that he would stay on Team Red not as a Superstar, but as a referee. Clearly, this didn’t sit well with The One-Man Band, but a job is a job. He’s got kids, after all.

“Will we see Slater officiate his first match?”

Also confirmed for Monday’s Raw is a press conference being held by Alexa Bliss, who is currently the woman in charge of Raw’s female roster at the moment.
