WWE Title Match made official for Backlash

WWE has announced the second match that will take place at the Backlash PPV.

On Tuesday morning, WWE confirmed in a post listed on their official website that Drew McIntyre will make his next title defense as the WWE Champion against Bobby Lashley at this show.

This match was expected as it was reported to likely take place only to be backed up by WWE on Monday’s episode of Raw where Lashley sent McIntyre a warning that he was coming after McIntyre’s WWE Championship.

The WWE Backlash pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center and will air live on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network.

WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:

Singles Match:
Edge vs. Randy Orton

WWE Title Match:
Drew McIntyre (champion) vs. Bobby Lashley
