Baron Corbin came out for his match with Braun Strowman in the first hour of the WWE TLC pay-per-view. The stipulation was that Corbin would become the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw if he won the match. Strowman would get his Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble if he was able to win. The story going into this match was that Corbin was expecting to win via forfeit because Strowman has been out of action with an elbow injury.
Referee Heath Slater began to count Strowman out but The Monster Among Men walked out to the ring with a brace on. Strowman reminded Corbin that there are no disqualifications in the match so that means someone who is sick and tired of Corbin could decide to help and it would be perfectly legal.
Apollo Crews, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, and Finn Balor appeared at ringside with chairs in their hands. Slater took his shirt off and then nailed Corbin with a right hand. The Raw Superstars proceeded to attack Corbin with several chair shots. Corbin walked back up the aisle but Kurt Angle’s music played and he walked out. Corbin was forced back into the ring as Angel nailed him with chair shots. Crews, Roode and Gable all teamed up on Corbin and then Angle hit the Angle slam. Balor followed up with the Coup de Grace stomp off the top rope. Slater put on his referee shirt and Strowman pinned Corbin with one foot on him.
