WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns retained the title against Daniel Bryan and Edge in a triple threat match in the headliner of the second night of WrestleMania 37.
The finish saw Reigns pin Bryan and Edge at the same time. As a result, there have been some fans who have speculated that WWE might do an angle to decide Reigns’ next challenger because of this. Most fans think it was Edge who pinned Bryan due to the way their bodies were positioned.
A fan noted this on Twitter and got a response from WWE authority figure Adam Pearce. Also, WWE referee Charles Robinson responded and gave this explanation:
“Four shoulders were on the mat. Roman was on top of both and in charge. It’s my discretion and that’s the final call.” Pearce saw this tweet and stated, “Charles, please come and see me in my office on Friday. Thank you.”
WWE has yet to announce anything for Friday’s SmackDown, but it will be interesting to see whether WWE plays this out on the show based on these tweets.
