BeltTalk.com’s “Da Belt Guy” (aka dvizzle on Reddit) has noted that WWE is going to be replacing the Intercontinental and United States Championships with new designs. “Da Belt Guy” has broken stories on belt designs in the past and he has a good track record so it would appear that new designs are on the way.
The rest of the belts being used now are either new belts or have been redesigned within the past year so it would make sense to update the IC and U.S. titles.
He wrote the following on Reddit:
“I was told they were looking into a new IC belt back in November, but a different source said they are replacing both Midcard belts. No eta, no clue on design other than it’s NOT copies of the Big Logo.”
