WWE has begun the build for next month’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
As announced on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns will get his rematch against Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship but this time, Chris Jericho will not be allowed to interfere in the match. Mick Foley announced that Jericho would be suspended over the ring in a shark cage during the match.
As of this writing, the Universal Championship match and the Royal Rumble match are the only things that have been announced for the show. Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg are the first two names announced for the Rumble match. The 2017 Royal Rumble will take place on 1/29 from the San Antonio Alamodome on the WWE Network.
