WWE Is ‘Very Hopeful’ For Steve Austin Appearance On Next Week’s Raw

WWE is reportedly “very hopeful” that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will make an appearance on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. During a live WrestleVotes Q&A on Fightful Select, it was revealed that conversations have taken place between the Hall of Famer and WWE management regarding a return for “3:16 Day” in San Antonio, Texas. The timing and location of the March 16 event have fueled speculation that the “Texas Rattlesnake” could appear on the show.

3:16 Day Synergy

WrestleVotes, “We talked to a couple people over the weeeknd….there have been conversations that I don’t want to say WWE has invited Steve Austin to Raw next Monday night on 3:16 day in San Antonio, Texas. But there are people who work for the company that are very hopeful Stone Cold Steve Austin will be on that Monday Night Raw just a week from tonight. You see, you know what I find most interesting? This would be his first Monday Night Raw appearance since before COVID.”

He added, “We’re hearing, I’ll say, decent shot, he’s on the show next week.”

TC said, “I can see it. I mean, it’s 316 Day on a Monday in San Antonio, Texas.”

WrestleVotes said, “They’ve talked to him. That’s the basis of this bonus report.”

TC said, “Stone Cold can do what he wants. If he wants to be there, he’ll be there. If he doesn’t want to be there, he won’t be there. So I think the overture has been extended to him.”

WrestleVotes said, “Well, I mean, the date, the location, it’s WrestleMania season. It all makes sense. So, really hope Austin decides to show up, take them up on their offer.”

Austin’s last match occurred at WrestleMania 38, where he defeated Kevin Owens in a surprise No Holds Barred match. More recently, he made a brief appearance at WrestleMania 41 to reveal the official attendance figure for the event and his WrestleMania submission match with Bret Hart was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Lineup for Monday Night Raw in San Antonio

In addition to the potential Austin appearance, WWE has already confirmed several top stars for the event at the Frost Bank Center. Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear as part of his five-week consecutive run on Raw, and Roman Reigns is also advertised for the show.
