The first episode of Steve Austin’s new WWE Network series, Broken Skull Sessions, is in the books as it premiered on Sunday night with the first guest being The Undertaker.
Although Austin has gone on record in various interviews last week to promote the show by stating that other episodes featuring other guests are in the can, WWE wants him to interview one big name and that’s CM Punk.
PWinsider.com reported on Monday that there was said to be a lot of talk over the weekend that WWE officials want Punk as a guest for a future episode of the series on their streaming service.
As of right now, there’s no word yet on whether WWE has reached out to Punk about the interview. It should be noted that Punk was not backstage at any of the WWE events in Chicago for Survivor Series weekend.
Time will tell whether Punk will do the interview but as of right now, it should be known that Punk isn’t under contract with WWE but rather with FOX Sports.
Punk is under contract with FOX to work as an analyst for the weekly WWE Backstage show that airs every Tuesday night on FOX Sports 1.
Triple H was recently asked while on a media call over the weekend whether he has spoken with Punk and more. To read his comments, check it out here.
