Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE is making a big push to market legends merchandise for Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior, and Steve Austin. There is no mention of Dwayne Johnson because he gets a much higher cut of merchandise sales than most and he won’t be back with the company until at least next year.
The company also wants all 4 of them at WrestleMania. Obviously we know that Taker, Hogan, and Warrior will be there but there is no deal for Austin to be there and Austin has said on his podcast that he doesn’t want to be there “just to be there.” Austin wants to be involved in something meaningful. If not, then he’s happy watching from home. WWE wants to find a storyline for him that would not involve anything physical.
