Dave Meltzer confirmed today that WWE will tape three weeks of NXT shows starting next week.
The August 24th episode will be taped on Monday, August 23rd at the WWE Performance Center. On August 24, they will tape episodes that will air on August 31 and September 7.
Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live about plans to tape more shows. It’s unclear if taping shows in advance will be the new normal or if this is just temporary for a few weeks.
Also, as previously noted, there are plans to completely revamp the NXT shows with a bigger focus on younger and bigger talent. There’s also been talk of changing the logo and the look of the show.
These changes come after 13 wrestlers from the NXT brand were released just over a week ago.
