WWE won’t be airing Tribute to the Troops on television this year

It turns out that WWE won’t be airing a Tribute to the Troops special on television this year.

The 17th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops celebration was held Friday, December 6 at Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

Prior to the show, WWE sent out a press release touting the show but didn’t disclose broadcast details as the show as historically aired on the USA Network for the last few years.

Dave Meltzer noted at the end of the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE did the show but didn’t tape it. It was basically a live event for the troops.

Meltzer doesn’t have a reason as to why the show isn’t airing on television this year but guessed that the USA Network didn’t want it.

Here are the matches that took place:

Humberto Carrillo & Kevin Owens defeat Andrade & Drew McIntyre

The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) defeat Ricochet & The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) defeat Natalya & Sarah Logan

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeat Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder

Boot Camp Match:
Seth Rollins defeats Erick Rowan
