WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 on Saturday night.
Flair caught her with a crossbody early while walking her down and throwing strikes. Ripley slowed things down with grappling. They were telling the story of a physical match. Flair reversed riptide with a major league DDT that spiked Ripley on her head for 2. Ripley with a big boot then a small package before they hit a double boot. Flair connected with a fall away slam before kipping up. Ripley with a german suplex off the middle rope that turned Flair inside out for 2.
Flair crashed into the steel steps before Ripley hit a facebuster for 2. Ripley with another scary german suplex that Flair almost landed on her head. Flair hit a moonsault off the turnbuckle to the floor before almost taking out the referee by accident. Ripley with the riptide for 2. Ripley put her in a leg submission, but Flair got to the ropes and hit a spear for 2. After a flurry of strikes, Flair locked in the figure four leg lock, but Ripley got to the bottom rope. Ripley with riptide off the top rope for the win.
