WWE Wrestler Addresses Fan Criticism Of His Booking

WWE has a lot of talent under contract, with wrestlers used across Raw, NXT, and SmackDown. However, not everyone can be used all the time.

Former AEW star Brian Pillman, Jr. joined WWE last year after working for the rival promotion. He was given the name Lexis King. Lexis is short for Alexis, the name of Pillman’s sister, who passed away.

The King is the name of his late mother Melanie, who remarried after Pillman, Sr.’s passing. He spent three years with AEW, mostly paired with Griff Garrison, where they worked on Dark and Dark: Elevation.

As seen below, he responded to a fan who thought he worked more matches in AEW than in WWE. Pillman corrected the fan when he wrote:

“This is a false statement. I have wrestled 17 matches on NXT live television just this year alone. That is likely 3x more TV time than my entire 3 year AEW career… 👑”

King’s last match was a a win over Eddy Thrope on the August 13th episode of NXT TV.
