The payoffs for the first pay-per-views since WrestleMania are said to be “really bad.” That seems to indicate that the talent is getting paid based on pay-per-view revenue and not from WWE Network revenue. The WWE Network has taken a chunk our of the pay-per-view revenue. The word is that there are a few people that are being taken care of and a few people have deals that protect them from this happening to them (example: The Undertaker gets the same pay regardless for his WrestleMania appearance). However, for the rank and file wrestlers that is not the case.
It’s even worse when WWE is telling the pay-per-view customers that they should order shows on the network.
