A competitor from the first season of the WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats reality show has received a new name ahead of his official debut.
Troy Yearwood, who was a member of Team Mickie James on the show, competed at a recent WWE Evolve taping under the new name Jamar Hampton. He announced the change in a pre-match promo, stating it was time for a new chapter in his career.
Hampton went on to defeat It’s Gal (Gal Barkay) in his Evolve debut match. WWE filed to trademark the “Jamar Hampton” name on April 27, 2025, just two days after the Evolve show was taped.
During his time on WWE LFG, Yearwood was eliminated in the first round of the men’s tournament by Chris Island. That tournament was ultimately won by Jasper Troy, who recently challenged Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.
