WWE Wrestler Undergoes Surgery

Elio LeFleur is on the road to recovery following shoulder surgery. On Tuesday, LeFleur confirmed the procedure was completed without complications, sharing a photo from his hospital bed with the message, “Surgery was a success. See you soon.”

The injury was first disclosed on the March 31 episode of WWE NXT. At that time, LeFleur stated he would be out of action for approximately six months.

As a result of the injury, LeFleur vacated the WWE Speed Championship. WWE has announced a tournament to crown a new champion, with the bracket starting on Tuesday night’s episode of NXT. The tournament bracket is as follows:

  • WWE Speed tournament: EK Prosper vs. Dorian Van Dux

WWE NXT Revenge (April 21)

  • WWE Men’s Speed title tournament finals

LeFleur’s final in-ring appearance came at a March 30 NXT live event, where he teamed with EK Prosper, Kale Dixon, and Tavion Heights to face BirthRight, which consists of Channing Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King, and Uriah Connors.
