WWE’s Current Plans For LA Knight

A new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has clarified WWE’s current plans for LA Knight after rumors of an imminent, permanent move to Monday Night Raw. While there has been a backstage push for the brand switch, Knight will reportedly remain a SmackDown superstar for now.

However, fans can still expect to see “The Megastar” on Raw in the coming weeks. The brand split is not considered strict, which will allow Knight to continue appearing on Monday nights to build his current cross-brand storyline.

Meltzer wrote, “On LA Knight to Raw, he will be and is doing a program with the Paul Heyman group and Raw guys and Smackdown guys aren’t strict at all. But no move to Raw right now as a home base, but he’ll be on the show at times.”

In recent weeks, Knight has interfered in their King of the Ring qualifying matches, costing both Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed their opportunities to advance in the tournament.
