WWE’s event at MSG in jeopardy as New York Governor prohibits large public gatherings

The hits keep on coming for WWE and the impact that the coronavirus has on the company holding events.

WWE is slated to make a return with a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday, March 22, 2020.

On Thursday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the order of prohibiting gatherings of more than 500 in the State. As of this writing, WWE nor the arena has canceled the show.

However, it’s extremely likely to happen. It’s a house show and with WWE not being able to get revenue from ticket sales then it’s very unlikely that WWE would go forward with the show.

Here are the matches that are currently being advertised for the show:

Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre

DX members Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Sean Waltman and Road Dogg to appear

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors vs. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair.

Seth Rollins & The AOP & Murphy vs. Kevin Owens & Viking Raiders & Aleister Black.

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits & Ricochet vs. AJ Styles & Gallows & Anderson.
