There have been comparisons between Wardlow and Batista due to their size and how they came up in the business. Fans have also compared Wardlow and Goldberg as they have a similar entrance and are booked alike.
While speaking with Graham Matthews of Bleacher Report, Goldberg discussed the comparisons between himself and Wardlow. He considers it to be an honor to have someone compared to him.
“I understand the comparisons. I've heard of him for sure. I've seen pictures of him. I haven't seen him work that much. Hey, man, more power to him. There needs to be more characters like that. There needs to be serious intensity out there. There's people that slice meat. There's people that eat meat and he needs to be eating meat...Big E is going to come into it.
I've never read anything about a comparison from him and how he passes judgment on it. At the end of the day, anybody that's close to the top in their prospective business to be compared with myself. That's an honor and a privilege.”
Goldberg had made media rounds last week to promote his WWE Biography documentary. He addressed rumors that he changed the finish of his match with Bray Wyatt at WWE Super ShowDown and his contract status with WWE.
