The latest update on Triple H is that he flew straight to Birmingham, Alabama after Friday’s Crown Jewel show. As previously reported, Triple H injured his pec when he took his usual Harley Race bump over the top rope during the main event.
Triple H needed surgery and typically, a torn pec can take at least 6 months (best case scenario) to recover from. At worst, he would need up to a year to recover. If he is able to make it back in 6 months then it still would not be in time for WrestleMania, unless he plans on wrestling before getting fully healed. If he does that then he would risk getting re-injured.
If he needs more than 6 months to recover then the match is very likely off. For those of you not keeping up with WWE TV, the Evolution reunion at SmackDown 1000 was meant to be the first tease towards Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania 35, a match that Batista has wanted for years before he officially hangs up his wrestling boots.
There is concern in WWE that the match might not happen. Batista is believed to be committed to wrestling at WrestleMania so they might need to find a replacement opponent and, perhaps, push his match with Triple H to SummerSlam or WrestleMania 36.
