WWE’s Plans For Women’s United States Title At WrestleMania 42

WWE creative has reportedly finalized the direction for the Women’s United States Championship as the company prepares for WrestleMania 42. BodySlam.net sources indicate that the title, currently held by Giulia, has been penciled in for the WrestleMania card since February. Additionally, internal reports suggest that Giulia is scheduled to defend the championship against Tiffany Stratton.

Tiffany Stratton has been expected to feature on the “Road to WrestleMania” since early January after returning at the Royal Rumble. Stratton recently competed in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on March 7, though she was eliminated in the bout.

The Evolution of the Women’s United States Title

The Women’s United States Championship was introduced in late 2024, with Chelsea Green serving as the inaugural champion. Since its inception, the title has changed hands four times over 13 defenses, though it has yet to be featured on a Premium Live Event. A WrestleMania bout between Giulia and Stratton would represent the first time the championship is defended at Mania.

The reported singles match comes amid rumors that WWE was originally considering a triple threat match involving Jordynne Grace. However, Grace suffered an ankle injury during a match against Alba Fyre last week, which may have forced a creative pivot.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium. The card is already taking shape with world title defenses for Stephanie Vaquer, Jade Cargill, and Cody Rhodes.
