Hulk Hogan has quietly disappeared from all of WWE’s social media mentions and, aside from his appearance on Crown Jewel, there is nothing else on him on WWE.com and the only social media posts on him were related to his appearance at Crown Jewel.
The Crown Jewel appearance was at the request of the Saudi government so WWE delivered Hogan but there wasn’t much hype around his return. During the days leading up to the show, there was no big announcement from WWE about Hogan’s return. Dave Meltzer reported that there was a video planned for the Raw go-home show but the decision was made not to air it.
It looks like WWE is still being cautious with Hogan because they want to avoid more negative publicity. Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that the social media department in WWE was told not to mention his name, at least for now.
Alvarez said, “When’s the last time you saw Hulk Hogan’s name on WWE.com? When’s the last time you saw Hulk Hogan’s name on WWE’s social media. He’s vanished off the face of the Earth.”
Alvarez added, “The social media department has been told ‘zero Hulk Hogan.’ Not saying that he’s never gonna be back again. I think that they’re just biding their time and he’s going to do his big return again, this time on a show here in the United States. Boy, did he drop off the face of the Earth after that Crown Jewel show.”
It is hard to imagine that Hogan won’t be back anytime soon. WrestleMania seems like a safe bet and he will probably be back whenever the next show in Saudi Arabia takes place.
