WWE’s Tony D’Angelo Joins “Wild Cards” Cast Alongside Martin Sheen For Season 2

WWE’s Tony D’Angelo has landed a notable Hollywood role as he has joined Season 2 of “Wild Cards.”

Deadline reported the news today. He joins the show as a guest star alongside Martin Sheen, Ally Sheedy, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Katie Findlay as new recurring characters. The second season will premiere on January 8th on CBC and CBC Gem before coming out on February 5th on The CW. WWE previously reached a deal with The CW to air NXT as its new TV home, a brand that D’Angelo performs on.

The show follows down-on-his luck cop Cole Ellis (Giacomo Gianniotti) and con woman Max Mitchell (Vanessa Morgan) joining forces amid having no other options. The plot of the show is that “The two use their seemingly opposing skills to solve crimes and begin to learn a little about what it means to trust someone along the way.”

D’Angelo will play Jaws, “a formidable and commanding criminal mastermind.” D’angelo, the current NXT North American Champion, made his latest title defense against Ethan Page a week ago on NXT.

The show also stars Michael Xavier, Amy Goodmurphy, Terry Chen, Fletcher Donovan, and Jonesy as Marc the Cat. Executive producers include Michael Konyves, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, James Thorpe, Alexandra Zarowny, and James Genn.
