Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston eat habanero peppers after epic ‘Street Fighter’ showdown

The Ultimate Showdown between stars from WWE and stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling finally took place on Thursday at the E3 convention in Los Angeles.

Fans have been waiting in anticipation after the hype on social media from the parties involved and from WWE’s website and social media accounts.

The “Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition” battle between The Young Bucks and The Elite did not disappoint. Things did not look good for Omega (playing as Ibuki) early on but he came through in the clutch and overtook Woods (playing as Cody) with 4 battles won to Woods’ 3. However, Woods came back and tied things up 4-4 so it came down to the wire. In the end, Omega got the win with a vicious Knee Trigger to the face.

Per the stipulation, each member of the losing team would have to eat a habanero pepper. Woods, out of respect to his teammates for agreeing to join him at E3, said that he would eat all of the peppers by himself. Woods got cheers from the standing room only crowd but Omega was not on board with that so he decided to steal the spotlight from Woods and decided that he would eat peppers. Pepper tally… Woods 2, Omega 1.

Woods gave a speech at the end and said that The Elite and The New Day appreciate everyone that has ever watched a “dumb video that we’ve made” or anyone that has picked up a controller or stick. Woods said that he first reached out to Omega via DM on Twitter. Omega also gave a speech. He said that The Elite and The New Day and they are working together to give fans the best entertainment package. “As far as I’m concerned, step 1 was a gigantic success. This feud is over. At some point in time, I hope to run into you again,” Omega said. He said that he respects The New Day.

The epic battle streamed live on UpUpDown’s YouTube channel but if you missed it, you can go back and watch it by clicking below.
