Xavier Woods expresses confidence in Kofi Kingston winning WWE Title

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods is confident that fellow New Day member, Kofi Kingston, is destined to win the WWE Title, which would mark his first reign as a world champion under the banner of the sports entertainment company.

WWE has already confirmed that WWE Champion Daniel Bryan would make his next title defense against Kingston at the final pay-per-view event before WrestleMania 35 which is Fastlane.

Wood took to his official Twitter account where he expressed his confidence in Kingston accomplishing this goal. Woods wrote, “If you’re late to the party, #NewDay has been repping that @TrueKofi will become the WWE world champion since our inception. It will soon become a reality. There is no bandwagon. There is no alternate truth. We are here for him and always will be. #KofiVsBryan”

Kingston also took to social media to note that he is ready for the title shot at Fastlane. Kofi wrote, “All I have ever wanted was a chance…and it’s finally happening. Words cannot express my excitement or my gratitude for this truly rare opportunity. Over Eleven years…I am so ready! To #WWEFastlane we go!”

WWE is scheduled to hold the Fastlane pay-per-view event on March 10, 2019 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio that will air on their streaming service, WWE Network.
