Xavier Woods Snapped 10-Year Streak On Monday’s WWE Raw

The New Day (Big E, Kingston, and Xavier Woods) have been together since 2016 and have won several championships in WWE. However, the group has been used in recent years differently due to Big E’s absence.

The former WWE Champion has been sidelined since he suffered a neck injury on the March 11, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown when taking an overhead belly-to-belly suplex at ringside from Ridge Holland. He landed on his neck and fractured his C1 vertebra and C6 vertebra. It’s unclear whether he will ever be medically cleared.

Since then, Woods and Kingston have been a regular tag team across SmackDown and Raw. However, that changed on Monday’s episode of Raw, as Woods teamed up with Otis and Akira Tozawa in a losing effort to The Final Testament in a six-man tag team match.

WWE Stats noted that this was the first time in a decade that Woods had competed in a tag team match that had not featured Big E and/or Kingston as his partners. Before this Raw episode, the previous time he worked a match that didn’t see him team with Woods or Kingston was on Main Event, where he was the partner of R-Truth.
